Just in: iPhone4 on Aircel launches at midnight in Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata & Mumbai.
The clock has been ticking for quite some time. Nearly 11 months after the official release of the iphone 4, Indian mobile users can finally lay their hands on the most stunning device, Apple iphone4 tomorrow, May 27, 2011.
Aircel beat both Bharti Airtel and Vodafone by issuing a press release about the launch of iphone4 for both the pre-paid and post-paid customers. The iPhone 4 will cost Rs. 34,500 for the 16 GB and a 32 GB model will cost Rs. 40,900. Aircel is also offering a reverse subsidy plan which involves the customers paying the full price of the device upfront but can expect to recover almost 100 percent of the cost over a period of 2 years if they continue to be with Aircel.
Such subsidies are quite common in US and UK and it seems like the Indian carriers are also warming up to the idea of providing a bundled value to the mobile users. It however still remains to be seen if a unlocked version of iphone4 will also be offered.
With strong rumors surrounding the launch of iphone 5 in the upcoming WWDC next month, mobile users in India will have a tough choice of whether to buy in the iphone 4 or wait another 11 months for the iphone 5.
The Apple iphone4 is the fourth version of the phone and redefines the look and feel of a phone and has been dubbed as the “biggest leap since the original iPhone". We took a closer look at the iphone 4 device and reviewed the device that has the world craving for more.
