Google has introduced its recent innovation known as the Near-Field Communications technology (NFC) to the android phones. Based on the ‘tap and pay’ method of purchasing, this new technology allows the users to swap their mobile phones against a small reader at a checkout stand. The technology will also offer a few attractive NFC-based coupons and discounts to the users, making shopping extremely convenient and beneficial.

In India we have seen the transactions based on cash, and then the phase of plastic money entered and now finally there are mobile apps like Google Wallet, which are taking us to a whole new wallet-free world.

Google introduced media to its upcoming mobile payment service and app known as Google Wallet. This excellent app can makes your handset your wallet, by storing all your credit card information or debit card information. So, whenever you need to make any transaction then you can do it from your phone.

All of this is possible through NFC, which has been in the news ever since the launch of Google's Nexus S. The first Android phone featuring built-in NFC and due to that it will also be the first smartphone, which will allow you to experience the Google Wallet. Nexus S is not the only device supporting this app, the upcoming Sprint Nexus S 4G and some other devices will also get the support for it very soon.

The new Google Wallet app is capable of storing credit cards, offers, loyalty cards and gift cards and due to that when you tap to pay; your handset will automatically redeem offers available and earn loyalty points.

At present, the Internet giant has collaborated for this service with Citi Group and Mastercard, so if you are using Citi Mastercard then you can use this app, however Google is surely going to join hands with others too. This is a great news for shopaholics around the world-  now no more standing in the Que, its just tap and go.
