Android 2.3 update coming for HTC Incredible S, Desire HD in India

The Taiwanese smartphones manufacturer has announced a month ago that its two popular handsets the HTC Incredible S and the HTC Desire HD will get Android 2.3 Gingerbread update. The Incredible S and Desire HD users in India can upgrade the Android version on their handsets soon.

This software update will definitely add some new and exciting range of  attributes to these two smartphones, together with some latest enhancements and fixes from the company.

Such update would be provided over the air, and people would get a notification when the Gingerbread software is made available for their particular smartphone.

HTC officials said, the users who wish to download the latest Android 2.3 update should consider doing so through a Wi-Fi connection, which confirms that there would be no overcharges. 

Soon after installing the update, the users can check its successful completion over their HTC devices through heading to MENU> Settings> About Phone> Software Information> Software number.

The enhancements and betterments in both the HTC handsets after installing Gingerbread update would be like a series of user interface changes, which will improve the speed of the operating system and make it much faster. In addition to this, it will also allow more intuitive text input and copy/paste capabilities to the HTC smartphones.

With this new version of Android, HTC Desire HD and HTC Incredible S will provide better control over applications, excellent power management, Internet calling, NFC (Near-field communications), download management, and a lot more than that.
