ASUS officially introduces the PadFone

As reported earlier, the leaked ASUS PadFone has now got official credentials. ASUS has now shown their tablet device to a host of tech enthusiasts at the Computex trade show at Taipei.

It's an innovative device by the company that offers tablet and smartphone combo in a unique form. With the ASUS PadFone, the smartphone cosily docks inside the tablet to give users an expanded view to suit their tasks.

The other key features of the PadFone include that once you plug the smartphone inside the tablet, it can be used for 3G connectivity to watch video, play games on the big screen as well as making calls on the go.

With the phone docked, it can recharge from the tablet’s larger battery and the tablet can also make use of the smartphone’s 3G internet connection. Meanwhile, feast your eyes on this cool ASUS PadFone ad video posted below:



The complete technical specifications of the ASUS PadFone have not be announced but what you can see from the ad video that the device may support video conferencing and Android 3.0 OS. The PadFone integrates a 4.3 inch smarpthone and a 10.1 inch tablet device.
