HTC Salsa available online, launch imminent in India

HTC announced its Facebook phones HTC ChaCha and HTC Salsa along with Flyer and other devices at the MWC 2011 event. Ever since the launch, HTC's Facebook phones were eagerly awaited in this part of the world.

Now, it seems that HTC may soon announce one of its Facebook phones, the HTC Salsa, in the Indian market. Already two leading online retailers in India, Letsbuy and Flipkart are selling these devices for around Rs. 20,000 on their online shopping portal.

The key features of the upcoming HTC Salsa include a 3.4 inch TFT touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera with auto focus and flash, VGA secondary camera and multi format music player with 3.5 mm audio jack.

Preloaded with Android and HTC Sense, the device is 3G & Wi-Fi enabled. It offers Bluetooth version 3.0 with A2DP, 800 Mhz processor, 512 MB, loads of social networking features, internal GPS antenna, G-Sensor, digital compass and proximity sensor.

HTC Salsa is currently priced at Rs. 20,399 and Rs. 20,449 on Letsbuy.com and Flipkart.com respectively.
