Sony Ericsson launched a Facebook contest last month for users to identify and post reviews for two of its upcoming smartphones. Well, the phones are now revealed and the company has announced all the details about its new devices.
The company has selected final four consumers (the ultimate video reviewer) selected in worldwide competition, following thousands of entries on its Facebook page.
The first one is the new Sony Ericsson Mix Walkman phone that brings best of music entertainment with Zappin, a new fun way to search your songs. While the second QWERTY device Sony Ericsson txt pro is meant for messaging and social networking needs for the users.
Both the devices integrate full touch functionality with a corner user interface similar to that available in the Xperia mini range. Also the two new smartphones pack loads of features that include cameras with video recording and Wi-Fi for chatting and browsing.
Quentin Cordier, Global Product Marketing Manager, Sony Ericsson said, "We wanted to take advantage of our extensive Facebook fan base when announcing these phones, bringing the fans closer to both our products and brand. We are really pleased that consumers liked them for their music and social media functionality and expect them to become great additions to our overall portfolio of entertaining phones."
The Sony Ericsson Mix Walkman sports 3 inch capacitive touchscreen, 3.2-megapixel camera with video recording, Bluetooth, Obigo web browser, Java and 3.5 mm audio jack. The device packs a slew of music-oriented features that include Media player, Music tones (MP3/AAC), PlayNow service, Clear stereo, Sony Ericsson Music Player and TrackID music recognition
The QWERTY device comes integrated with Zappin key, which makes it even easier and more fun to search for your favourite song. There's also a karaoke function that enables the vocal track from any song to be lowered instantly for users to sing along with their favourite tunes.
The Sony Ericsson txt pro features a 3 inch touchscreen with a 3.2-megapixel camera and full slide-out QWERTY keyboard. The social networking phone comes equipped with friends application that enables users to add their five best friends to see at a glance updates from their Facebook and Twitter feeds.
The Sony Ericsson Mix Walkman and the Sony Ericsson txt pro will be available globally in selected markets from Q3.
