The rumour mill is abuzz with the possible launch of the unlocked Apple iPhone 4 in US. As per reports circulating online, the Apple iPhone 4 unlocked version is ready to arrive on Apple Stores in US by Wednesday.

In fact, we had covered reports earlier that the unlocked version of the Apple iPhone 4 may arrive in India. It seems that US will be getting the operator free version of Apple's smartphone within this week.

This rumor reportedly originated from a Twitter account of @chronicwire, who probably set up the account around just a week ago and soon started tweeting all kinds of proclaimed iPhone leaks and rumours.

However, Apple iPhones unlocked versions are already available in Canada and some European countries, but it is going to be something new for the American market. It is expected that the unlocked iPhone 4 version, if the rumour comes out to be true, would only be supported on GSM carriers, which means just AT&T and T-Mobile subscribers in US can avail of the unlocked version.

Already launched in India, the Apple iPhone 4 sports a 3.5 inch display screen with 640 X 960 pixel resolution. The device features Retina display, which makes it extremely convenient for FaceTime for video calling features.

Apple iPhone 4 packs a 5-megapixel camera, which offers crystal clear images and videos. The smartphone runs on iOS 4 operating system, which allows access to new features like iBooks, spell check, folders, multitasking and a lot of other exciting new features.

All of these features are expected to be same in the rumoured unlocked iPhone 4. However, there is no official word about its launch from the company as of now.
