Published on Jun 15, 2011
A cartoon of a man pushing a mail box through a mobile phone dominates Micromax Mobiles Facebook page. Below is the clue to what the company will bring to its mobile fans next:
"We belong to the generation of impatience. We want everything delivered NOW! Why wait for a refresh interval of some minutes when you can have it instantaneously! What are we talking about here?"
So, what are they talking about? We turned to the 50-odd comments for potential answers. The answers ranged from A70, gingerbread phone, push email, mobile internet even an upgrade to A60.
Our pick is the push email. Why? Well the cartoon clearly has a man 'pushing the mail box' and fits well with clue of "instant delivery".
To those unfamiliar with the Push email concept, basically a 'push email service' pushes your email as it arrives through the 'client', rather than the traditional method which requires the client to poll and pull mail manually. The service comes quite handy to those who like to check their mails frequently ( read: addicted). The good thing is that the users get their messages in real time, rather than having to rely on manually checking each inbox.
Also using this service users can access their wireless email from anywhere. Be it receiving or replying to messages or emails, even calendar reminders, the push mail service promises to keeps you organized anywhere and everywhere.
Comming back to Micromax push email phone, it is quite likely that the company will use its own in-house push email service on this new phone.
Along with the push email phone what else do you think this new phone will have? Let's see a qwerty keypad definitely, seeing the trend for 3G phones it is likely that this new device will also be 2G/3G enabled. The usual suspects wifi, bluetooth connectivity, java, FM radio elements will surely be found. How about a video calling option? Maybe.
Stay tuned as we unravel Micromax's next mystery device.
