Lava Mobile is planning to introduce its first Android phone in India within the next few months as per the reports doing rounds online. The upcoming Lava Android phone is expected to feature the latest version of Android OS.
Reportedly, the new Lava phone with Android OS will come equipped with a capacitive touchscreen and good music capability. The high quality music feature is obvious as the company has recently announced SRS WOW HD features for its M-series handsets.
According to an interview given by Mr. Sunil Raina, director of marketing, Lava Mobile, to The Mobile Indian, he said, "We are late as we wanted to bring a high quality specification-rich Android phone to the market. We are more or less ready with the product and we will soon launch it."
However, he didn't reveal the details, but he indicated music will be one of the strong features of this Android phone. Lava Mobile has entered in to a partnership with SRS Labs, which is renowned for its surround sound, audio and voice technologies. This upcoming Lava Android phone is expected to feature SRS WOW HD technology.
The handset is also expected to have a better processor in comparison to the other Android phones available from Indian brands. Presently, most of the affordable Android devices have a 600 MHz processor, which could be enhanced in this upcoming Lava phone.
In addition to this, it is also likely that the phone will include at least a 3.2 inch capacitive touchscreen and certainly the latest version of Android Gingerbread.
According to Mr. Raina, who said the Android handset will be a bit more expensive than the range of present Indian Android phones owing to better quality and features, although he indicated the price difference will not be significant.
Besides, the company is also planning to introduce its Android tablets in India in the coming months. However, there are not details available about these devices as of now, but we will keep you posted as soon as we get some new updates.
