HTC Desire to get Gingerbread treatment, finally

Yes. No. Yes. HTC Desire is at last elated as the company has now finally decided that their original Desire will get the much needed Gingerbread treatment. HTC has now confirmed that it will be bringing the Android 2.3 update to the HTC Desire.

Just a day back, HTC disappointed all the HTC Desire owners with the news that their devices will not be getting Gingerbread update. The company seems to have changed their stance and now it has posted the good news on its Facebook page. The company officials are now saying, "Contrary to what we said earlier, we are going to bring Gingerbread to the HTC Desire."

Finally, a sigh of relief for all those proud owners of HTC flagship product - the Desire. But the sad part is that still there is no confirmation from the company regarding the release date of Android 2.3 update for its HTC Desire smartphone.

Perhaps some of the users are hoping that HTC will let them easily remove HTC Sense from their Desire and allow them to have plain Gingerbread on board. However, it is not likely to happen.

Now, after getting the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update this popular device will become even better and provide excellent performance to the users.
