As reported earlier, Huawei has now officially released its new Android-based tablet MediaPad. The Chinese telecom company has introduced its new 7 inch tablet, powered by dual core 1.2GHz processor with 1080p HD video playback. The MediaPad comes equipped with the latest Android 3.2 Honeycomb operating system.
The new tablet device will sport a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera and a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, with auto-focus and HD video recording support. The MediaPad is the company's latest tablet device with updated Android OS after Huawei earlier announced its Android-based tablet devices Ideos X3 and Ideos S7 Slim at MWC 2011.
The MediaPad will feature Wi-Fi and HSPA+ (14.4Mbps) connectivity and it will be competing with a slew of new released tablet devices in the market, namely Samsung Galaxy Tab, Apple iPad 2, Motoroloa Xoom, BlackBerry PlayBook, HTC Flyer and few others.
However, Huawei has not officially disclosed the availability or pricing details of its new tablet device MediaPad.
