Sony Ericsson has added two new members to its Xperia family with the launch of Xperia ray and Xperia active smartphones at CommunicAsia 2011 event at Singapore.
The Xperia ray features a 3.3 inch colour TFT screen, internal phone storage up to 300MB, 512MB RAM and up to 32GB external memory via microSD card slot.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia ray will come equipped with an 8.1-megapixel camera with Exmor R optics. The device is offered in Gold, Black, Pink and White colours.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia active packs a 3 inch screen offering 320 x 480 pixels resolutions and a 5-megapixel camera onboard. Sporting a scratch resistant display, the device boasts of dustproof and waterproof features.
The new Xperia active comes powered with Android Gingerbread OS and a 1GHz processor. The device offers GPS, Barometer, wrist strap and arm band to the users as well.
Preloaded with 512MB RAM, the internal phone storage of the device is 1GB (up to 320MB free) and up to 32GB expandable memory via memory card slot.
The Xperia ray and Xperia active smartphones will be hitting the shelves in Q3 2011. However, Sony Ericsson has not revealed the pricing details of these upcoming devices.
