Latest Leak: HTC Glamor android phone for women spotted online

The Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer is in news again. Rumored to have been developing an Android-based women-centric smartphone known as HTC Bliss in May, it now appears that 'Bliss' is not the only phone that the company has in pipeline.

The recent picture leaked from Pocket Now shows three devices bearing HTC Glamor tag, dipped in striking -  yellow, blue and pink color, hanging on hangers.

It is quite likely that HTC Glamor and Bliss will bear similar specs, most of which remain a mystery right now. What we do know is that HTC Bliss will be sporting a greenish shade that will give  a soothing effect to users and come in a greenish-gray rubberized plastic to provide a better grip over the phone. It is speculated that the devise will be similar to HTC Desire and Desire Z mobile phones.

HTC is also planning to add shopping comparison and calorie counting apps among other handy apps that women will find useful. The devise is expected to be released around the year end. We don't know whether the two devices will be launched together or at different points, but their arrival will definitely create a lot of excitement among women looking to get a taste of the HTC sense UI. Contrary to what was thought, it seems HTC is not coming out with one smartphone for women, rather a whole range.

There is no doubt about the fact that we have seen a slew of women- centric smartphones entering the Indian terrain off late. Domestic company, Micromax repeated the success of women-centric Bling Q55 with Bling 2. Following which another company MAXX Mobiles has now entered the market with their Maxx Vista MS502, a slider QWERTY keyboard device which comes in three striking themes of Pink, Orange and Blue. International manufacturers are also wooing the fairer sex with their products in India. Nokia recently launched 'Nokia N8 in Pink' limited edition smartphone for the women consumers in India.

Very few players have made a foray in this vastly untapped market and gauging from the success of past women-centric devices, we can look forward to seeing more manufacturers bringing in exciting devices for us.
