Tax returns filing just got less taxing. The online income tax return filing company, TaxSpanner recently launched a mobile version that would enable you to file income tax returns (ITR) through your mobiles.
Ankur Sharma, CEO, TaxSpanner said that the process has been simplified to allow mobile users to file ITR easily. "After introducing the eFile by eMail option where customers need to just send us an email with a few details, e-filing of taxes through mobile is the next obvious step for the company," Sharma said in a statement.
The new solution will be made available to the taxpayers from the first week of July, 2011. TaxSpanner has developed eFile using open source technologies namely Linux, apache, postgres, python, django for creating mobile solution.
To file ITR, a mobile user has to visit the site: TaxSpanner through his mobile phone.
Once on the site, the mobile user will be automatically directed to "eFile by eMail" application page of the TaxSpanner mobile site. There is no registration required or any long dwindling forms to be filled.
All you have to do is simply fill up a form with some personal information and upload Form 16. After this the ITR will be filled and generated automatically.
With increasing mobile penetration, it doesnot comes as a surprise that more and more mobile based applications are being developed. Another mobile app that we are looking forward to is "mobile wallet".Using this service the users have to load cash into their mobile wallet account just like a prepaid card and get their cell phone account recharged. Recently Airtel and Google announced wallet-free service, along with DoP which has introduced mobile money transfer services.
