Rumours are coming that Samsung is manufacturing next Google Nexus phone, Google Nexus Prime. Also it is heard that the new smartphone is going to be the first handset, which runs on Android 4.0 - Ice Cream Sandwich.
However, there is no word from Google about the next Nexus smartphone, mentioning if it is coming with Android's latest version 4.0 or not.
According to the reports, Nexus Prime will be designed by Samsung. This smartphone is expected to have an attractive 720p Super AMOLD HD Display, a 1.5GHz Dual Core TI OMAP4460 processor and physical menu keys. Besides, there are rumours that the device will be bloat free and will feature latest Ice Cream Sandwich OS.
Usually the Nexus phones get launched on any particular carrier as a flagship device that easily grabs early adopters and Nexus fans.
According to Boy Genius Reports, this time there will be number of Nexus smartphones available from different carriers and they all will be introducing around the same time. If the report is true then it would explain why there are several Nexus 3 or 4G device rumors popping up.
May be Google is planning to step in and take back some ownership of the Android platform through introducing an array of Nexus branded gizmos across multiple carriers this year.
However, if all or most of such smartphones comprise of similar high-end specs and run on latest Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), it will be a big win for users who will get an ample choice to go for the new Android version of the handset.
