Now Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 Mango OS will another feature that will make it capable of creating custom ring tones. When this operating system was announced by Microsoft, it was told it will offer 500 features and yesterday the company has this new feature.
It is quite obvious that pre-loaded ring tones will still be available for the users who lover a bit more classic kind of ringer. For this application, the file you want to customize must not be more than 39 seconds long, smaller than 1MB, and be DRM-free MP3s/WMAs.
The users can set up ring tones, using the desktop Zune client, through searching the file in Zune, then right-clicking on it, and customizing the Genre to ring tone.
Other than the capability to add custom ring tones, the American software developing giant is also providing some new on-board ring tones to the Mango. Microsoft has also announced that the new Mango SDK has provided developers a several fabulous tools to create ring-tone creation apps, so get set to check for those when Mango arrives in Fall.
Last month while introducing Windows Phone 7 Mango at WWDC, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer said, this next update should bring “over 500 new features” to Mango. Obviously, a “feature” here could be simply described as anything from “massively awesome overhaul” to a “slightly louder beepy noise when you receive Facebook requests”, so lets see how this new OS actually works.
