The recently launched Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc is gearing up for update already. Running on Android 2.3 also known as Gingerbread, the Xperia Arc will be getting an update of Android 2.3.3.
This update can be obtained through the PC Companion software, though it hasn’t gone over the air as of now. This news was not a surprise as the company had already made a global announcement reagrding the Xperia Arc and Xperia Play updates. Now recently, an online website AndroidOS.in has written that the update has hit India.
This latest software upgrade has brought the much spoken - Facebook inside Xperia attribute in the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc. The update will bring other improvements like more stability in the phone's software and improvement in the Wi-Fi connectivity.
In addition to this, the touch responsiveness of the Xperia Arc will also be improved to offer much better feel of the interface. Besides, it is also expected that this update will improvise the quality of HD video recording and performance of the battery.
The newly introduced Android 2.3.3 is nothing but a small feature release, which simply adds few improvements, enhancements and APIs to the already available in Android 2.3 platform.
The Xperia Arc features some fabulous attributes like 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8655 CPU with Adreno 205 GPU and Timescape UI. Besides, the marvelously designed handset sports a 4.2-inch Reality display and a powerful 512MB RAM and 320MB Internal memory. The device comes with 8.1-megapixel camera and A-GPS support.
