Rumors are in the air that the globally recognized brand Acer is working on its slider tablet. It is expected that the company will launch it's tablet somewhere around the end of this year.
An online website Digitimes has recently cracked this big news in its report, who has its sources in the Acer supply chain. There is not much information about this rumored product of Acer, but it is likely to sport a huge 10-inch screen, according to the reports.
The slider tablet is expected to have a powerful ARM based processor from Compal Electronics. However, we have heard that the number of shipments is expected to be on the lower side, no clue why?
Moreover, if we believe the rumors then this Acer tablet is expected to run on the popular version of Android 3.1 Honeycomb. The other rumour about this slider tablet is that its moving parts will not work for long, so if it is so delicate then users will have to take extra care, while using the tablet.
Recently Acer launched its two new tablets in the Indian market, known as W500 and A500. Both of these tablets are fantastic in performance and irresistible in looks. The Iconia Tab W500 is embedded with an excellent free Keyboard docking station, runs on Windows 7 and has a 10.1 inch wide multi-touch HD display. The device also features Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth compatibility, dual USB 2.0.
While the other tablet, Iconia Tab A500 powered by Android 3.0 Gingerbread has a dual core NVIDIA Tegra 250 processor, 10.1 inch LCD capacitive touchscreen and 5 megapixels camera with LED Flash.
After watching these two fabulous tablets, we hope this rumored Acer tablet with sliding mechanism must be challenging product for various others in the market.
