For starters, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 is now a lot thinner than it was back in February. What's ammazing is that now it is actually thinner than the iPad 2. The new features also include Live Panel, a magazine-like widget which will give access to weather, news as well as social updates from the home screen itself. Also thrown in is a Mini Apps tray, Clipboard and Indicator Quick Panel for toggling Wi-Fi, notifications among others.
The update is also said to bring new SWYPE which will make it convenient for tablet users to type as well as resize keyboard and move the virtual keyboard around.
The Android Honeycomb tablet will be embedded with a fast dual core processor and a beautiful 10.1-inch TFT LCD touchscreen with a crystal clear resolution of 1280 x 800. According to Samsung Mobile India Head Ranjit Yadav, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 will be priced around Rs. 35,000 which puts it in competition with rival Apple iPad 2, Motorola Xoom, Acer’s ICONIA A500, Blackberry Playbook among others.
While the wait for the Indian consumers have been long, atleast we know that by the time we get the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in our hands it will be a marvel.
