LG unveils budget dual-SIM phone LG A230

One of the leading manufacturer of the electronic products, LG has been rolling out quite a few budget handsets in the market. The recent handset to join LG's other budget handsets is LG A230. The device sports a candybar shape and comes in the measurement of  108.8 x 46.6 x 13.9 mm.

LG A230 is pretty much a no frill phone, so don't be disappointed if you find this handset lacking 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS features. The device comes with a 1.77-inch display and packs in a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels. Equipped with a 1.3 meg-pixel camera, the device supports microSD card slot up to 8GB and connectivity options through bluetooth.

Powered with a 950mAh battery, the device has all the regulars like MP3 player, FM radio, call recording options, video recorder thrown in. Social networking fans will be happy to play around the widgets that feature  Twitter, weather and classmates option to stay in touch with your friends. LG A230 has been launched in Russia at the moment and is likely to be rolled out in European markets soon.



There is no official news on its launch in India. We speculate that the device will be priced at Rs 4000 approx when it hits the Indian market keeping in mind the umpteen number of budget mobile devices from strong domestic competitors which currently occupy this space.

LG has been in the news quite a bit lately. One of its device LG Optimus Slider codenamed Gelato Q, a mid range Android smartphone was leaked online along with another touch-and-type qwerty smartphone known as LG Optimus Pro. And that is not all. A series of upcoming LG smartphones were also leaked online giving us a glimpe of the goodies that the company has in store for us. The leaked smartphones - Samsung Chief, LG Q, LG Optimus B and Motorola Sunfire are rumored to hit the market by 2012.
