Apple, since its international debut, has been renowned for concealing its products right until their release. These products, ever since the launch of the iPod, have been given a mythical status right up to their release.
The iPad 3 is no different. Apple initially promised October 2011 as the release date for the iPad 3. But, with its ongoing war with Samsung over the patents of iPad 3, the release might be delayed. Lets look at some of the widely circulated rumors and speculations about the iPad 3. With so many tablets in the market, Apple needs to perform better than the best, just to sustain its reputation.
The iPad 3 is being touted as the Super Tablet - the Big Daddy of all the tablets. CultofMac reports that an Apple employee, on the condition of anonymity has said that -“For the iPad 2 don’t get your hopes up too high. That’s all I’m going to say. They’ve had a number of problems along the way, and the third-generation iPad is the one to make a song and a dance about.” It wouldn't be totally incorrect to say that most Apple consumers agree with his point of view.
If this is just the grapevine, it does have some grounds. Apple has promised a Retina display in the iPad 3 replacing the scrungy graphics of iPad 2. Apple has also reportedly recruited a Taiwanese manufacturer for the iPad 3 as it does not want to face the demand overload crisis for the iPad 2. It might be having an AMOLED display, making it a unique tablet.
The most talked about speculation about the iPad 3 is its A6 processor. The iPad 2 is equipped with an A5 processor that overheats very soon. Apple is known for it's graphics and the iPad 3 will surely live up to the hype.
Most of the tablets in the market right now provide only up to 64 GB. The Apple iPad, it is rumored, will come with 128 GB memory making it an efficient replacement for a laptop. It will run with a thunderbolt port that can provide you with super-fast internet, eventually outdoing both 3G and 4G.
Apple's iCloud, the wireless back option providing cloud computing will debut with the iPad 3. Also, it might have an SD card slot providing easy transfer between your phone and your tablet.
The iPad 3 should be the sleekest tablet ever and it should be very lightweight. It might even have a wireless chip supporting both GSM and CDMA networks as well as support Wi-Fi and 3G networks. Apple plans to stun it's competitors by releasing the iPad 3, iphone and iCloud together. According to rumors Apple is gearing up to launch its iPad 3 in October.
There are lot of would have's, should have's surrounding the launch of iPad3. Knowing Apple, it could very well throw in a surprise like it always has in the past, hasn’t it?
