Lenovo plans to launch a range of tablets in India

One of the well known laptops manufacturer, Lenovo has already announced its Windows 7 based tablet named as ideaPad P1 in the US market. Now the company is gearing for a launch of tablets in the different price range for Indian market.

According to a Mobile Indian report, one of the company spokesperson told them that they will offer a wide array of tablets ranging from low-end to high-end in India. Also, the launch will start from this September, however there was no word about the launch of P1 that whether it is coming to India or not.

In the starting, Lenovo has plans to introduce a 10-inch tablet, dubbed as IdeaPad K1 that works on Google's Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system, in the month of September this year. In addition, there are possibilities that the upcoming tablet might might later get the Android version 3.1 update or may be before it releases in India.

The upcoming IdeaPad will be quite alike its US version known as Lepad and is likely to sport an attractive 1280 x 800 pixel display, a powerful 1 GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 dual core processor as well as 1GB of RAM. Though, it will also feature dual cameras both at front and rear and the Lenovo tablet might come in a Wi-Fi-only version.

There is no official statement about the pricing of the Ideapad, however some international advertisements have disclosed its price as $500 which would cost you around Rs 22,500 in India. There is an another version of this tablet going to hit the markets with the 32GB space and it would cost around Rs 32,000.
