Fake Apple Stores in China

Published on Jul 21, 2011

It is a big matter now that would really effect the Apple's business in China and if it goes on then in other countries too. As Apple has been the first victim of Chinese fake Apple Stores, which have made the entire buildings to look like a real Apple store.

Chinese mobile phone manufacturers have long been defamed for being master copiers, but this time the water has gone over the heads as they have started copying the entire architecture of the store, T-shirts of the store staff and in-fact the similar logo.

An online website BirdAbroad have posted the images of one of a fake Apple store in China, which is actually a genuine ripoff. The author of the post also confirmed that the store was ripped down plus reestablish by a bank, although that dual others have swiftly appeared around the strange place located in a Chinese town known as Kunming.

The writer of that post, also noticed few unusual features as the name of the Apple store was mis-spelled as Apple Stoer, the staff badges without their names, the poorly created signature spiral staircase, the improperly painted walls and a lot more.

It was not mentioned in the post that whether the fake store was actually selling real products or the copies of the real one. Even there was no word if the store was selling unannounced Apple products like the iPad 3 or the iPhone 5. However, the most interesting thing mentioned there was, the store's employees may have been unaware that they are working for a fake Apple store.

The fake company has its four stores at present in China, among which two are located in Beijing and two in Shanghai. The most threatening thing to Apple is that, these four stores in China are getting on average the highest traffic as well as highest revenue of any of the 323 Apple stores worldwide, as per a statement given by the Chief Financial Officer Peter Oppenheimer in the last January.

All this proves people in China are crazy about Apple products, well its not the limits as one of the chinese kid sold his kidney to buy an iPad 2, last month.
