BlackBerry Torch 9860 touchscreen phone leaks online

Image leak of any popular brand's handset is not a new thing these days, it has become a sort of trend now. In the month of May it was RIM's BlackBerry Torch 2 9810, which got leaked with its images and this time its another handset, the BlackBerry Torch 9860.

According to Mobile Indian, these recently leaked images are indicating that the smartphone is ready to get launched. The website reported that Greg Gebhardt, a user of PBase.com, has recently posted pictures of the BlackBerry Torch 9860, codenamed as Monza.

The Torch 9860 in these leaked images is resembling a lot with the recently released in India, the iPhone 4. However, it has curved edges and a few physical buttons. RIM is likely to announce the new range of BlackBerry smartphones comprising BlackBerry OS 7, in a few months.

BlackBerry Torch 2 is already on the process, but bit surprising as the Torch 2 is entering with a processor and memory bump. The recent leak - BlackBerry Torch 9860 is a full touchscreen phone of the Torch series that will pack a 1.2 Ghz processor and 768MB RAM for faster and better performance. Also, there will be 4GB of memory provided in the handset, which is capable enough to run the BlackBerry OS 7.

BlackBerry Torch 9860 will be sporting an attractive 3.7-inch touchscreen 24-bit TFT LCD display with 253 dpi and resolution of 800x480 pixels. Besides, the device will be embedded with a 5-megapixel camera, which can record HD videos at 720p along with continuous autofocus.

Rumours are in the air that RIM is going to launch the new Torch handset with full touch screen sometime today as per the status message updates on company's official Facebook and Twitter accounts. It seems RIM is ready to announce the details of the new addition to the Torch series, which will include the upcoming BlackBerry OS 7.
