Should I wait for the next best? We often find ourselves asking this question before making a leap into the high-end smartphones. With changing technology, new operating systems, better camera, UI's and more on line, the decision doesn't get any easy.

If you have been waiting so far to get hold of the next best, your wait will not get wasted. With highly anticipated smartphones like Nokia N9, Blackberry Bold 9900, LG optimus slider, Samsung wave 578, LG optimus chat, Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray among others lined up for release this year, trust us when we say saber ka phalli meth hota hai.

Nokia N9

Nokia N9 is expected to launch very soon. Running on the MeeGo platform designed by the Nokia and Intel, this attractive smartphone has QWERTY keypad, 3.9 inches touch screen and gorilla glass display. N9 smartphone is designed to beat the competition Nokia is currently facing from Android and iOS. Loaded with connectivity options like Bluetooth, WiFi 820.11n and 3G in addition to features like an 8-megapixel Carl Zeiss powered camera and Dolby Digital Plus, definitely makes Nokia N9 highly desirable.

Blackberry Bold 9900

Everyone is waiting for Blackberry Bold 9900. Running on the latest software of Blackberry the OS7, this bar shaped smartphone is a architectural marvel, BlackBerry Bold 9900 sports a  2.8-inch VGA capacitive, fast and responsive touchscreen which gives a resolution of 640 x 480 and 287ppi. So, if you are looking for playing back a 720p content, fear not my friend, with Bold 9900 there will be no worries.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro

Scheduled to be launched in India next week, this gingerbread powered Qualcomm snapdragon equipped smartphone, sports a 5 mega pixel camera front facing camera. Integrated with a  3-inch reality display with 512 MB RAM, the smartphone is pegged at around Rs 16000.

Samsung wave 578

One of the smartphones from the wave series,  Samsung wave 578 is expected to launch in India soon. Though its exact price is not yet disclosed, but it will fall in mid range of smartphones.  Its specifications include 3.2 mega-pixel camera, front facing VGA camera, Bluetooth 3.0, quick type keypad, 16 GB extendable memory with micro SD card. The phone is a 3G phone with Wi-Fi and a lot more features.

LG Optimus chat

LG optimus chat has already been launched in UK and it will be launched in India very soon. Its price in India will be around 20k. This phone runs on the Froyo OS, though a updated version of Android OS will be soon available. Equipped with a QWERTY keyboard, accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate, touch-sensitive controls, the smartphone comes with a battery life of 1500 mAh and a host of exciting features.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray

Android Gingerbread 2.3 powered, Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray sports a 3.3 inch display and with a 1Ghz processor by its side the device is surely create quite a buzz in the market. This phone also has a 8.1-mega pixel camera with Exmor R for mobile along with a HD video functionality and a slew of other features.

LG Optimus Slider

LG Optimus slider is a better version of the LG optimus one. It’s dual core processor, which is expected to be 800 Ghz. It has a 4-inch display with HGVA touch screen with a resolution of 480x320.

Sony Ericson Xperia Active

The best part about this phone is it is water resistant and dust proof phone. You need not to worry whether your fingers are wet or not, its wet resistant touch pad. Besides this its specifications are: 3 inches display, 5-mega-pixel camera, HD video functionality, and this phone also runs on the same platform on which the Xperia Ray runs, i.e. Android Gingerbread 2.3. But look vise this phone is quite different with the Xperia ray.

Nokia Sea Ray

Nokia has decided to step in the windows phone7 market. Sea ray is basically manufactured on the chassis of Nokia N9. This smartphone runs on the 1Ghz cortex A8 processor and comes with a 8 mega-pixel auto focus camera with up to 64 GB storage capacity and 1GB RAM.

Blackberry Torch 2

Torch 2 is a 3.2 inches TFT capacitive touch screen slider phone. It also has Qwerty keypad and optical track pad just like Bold 9900. And a lot similar features like 3G connectivity and 32 GB extendable memory.
