Microsoft announces Windows Marketplace launch in India

Microsoft has finally launched the windows marketplace in India. Now the WP7 users needn’t rely on an alternate source to get apps for their new smartphones.

Microsoft has finally announced the launch of Windows Marketplace in India. Now the Indian Windows phone users needn’t rely on any other alternate source to get applications for their smartphones. Via Marketplace windows phone users, can browse and download all kind of apps that they want. The big giant has also added a lot of new things in the marketplace to provide a personalized experience to its users.

Previously, the Indian users were not allowed to officially access the marketplace, but now they can access it and download as many as applications they want.

Another interesting thing that Microsoft is looking for is the “accuracy of the price”. Yes, Microsoft wants to fix up the price of every particular app and for this Microsoft is going to fluctuate the price of application depending on the currency value of that particular country. The addition of these 19 countries has taken the toll to 35.

Besides this, Microsoft has added seven new developer markets that can register in App Hub. If you are new to Windows phone then let me tell you that App Hub is the place where you manage your app account, save and download applications. These seven-developer market has been enabled in: Colombia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Israel, South Africa and South Korea, and Chile. India and China will be added very soon.

Along with this Microsoft is focusing on the improvements to mobile in-app advertising, App hub localization, new private distribution of applications for beta apps and a lot more on enhanced application management.
