Samsung has slowly but steadily risen to the No.2 position in the IT products market. It wouldn't be entirely incorrect to say that the Galaxy series played a big role in turning around Samsung's fortunes. The name has become so popular that Samsung has even launched a series of tablets by the same name.
Samsung played its cards right with the Galaxy S2 and it has now become one of the best selling Android phones of all time. Till now, this phone was available only in black color. Now Samsung has confirmed it will be providing it in White this August.
The White Galaxy S2 would offer the same things that the black version does. Like its black counterpart, it offers 16GB memory and operates on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. It has smart Touch Screen and is equipped with TouchWiz 4.0 UI.
The phone scores on the looks department with its 4.3-inch screen with 480 x 800 Super AMOLED display. It runs on 1.2 GHz dual-core Exynos processor with a powerful 1 GB RAM.
The Galaxy S2 has a 2 mega-pixel front facing camera for video chats and an 8 mega-pixel dual LED Flash at the back. It comes with extensive Google features such as Google Maps and Google Docs. In addition to that it supports AGPS, Wi-Fi, HSDPA and SWYPE text input.
Samsung plans to release the phone around 15th August and has already started taking pre-orders for this phone. The S2 White spells good news for Samsung users and according to rumors, it has already been overbooked.
