The news about the launch of the Motorola Droid Bionic comes straight from the Horses' mouth.
The CEO of Motorola Mobility, Mr. Sanjay Jha has announced that the Motorola Droid Bionic would be launching somewhere in early September. It was earlier rumored to have an August 4 release.
Motorola had unveiled the Bionic at CES earlier this year, but its release has been delayed by software troubles.
Although this spells good news for Motorola's customers, people who have already purchased the Droid 3 in anticipation of the August release will be flustered to hear about it.
Motorola has made it easy for its customers by facilitating a no penalty exchange for it with the LTE enabled Droid Bionic. But with the release of the Bionic being deferred by a month, Motorola might have to give up on this strategy.
The phone comes from a lineage of successful Droid phones. The Motorola Droid series was launched in 2009 and proved to be a fortuitous venture for Motorola. An equally capable Droid X, Droid 2 Global and the Droid Pro followed the original Droid.
The most exciting feature of the Droid Bionic will be that will be support 4G Internet speed. In addition to that it would also support extensive features such as an improved form factor and functionality. It will support extra RAM than the previous Droid phones along with a sleeker and lightweight body. Reportedly, Mr. Jha has also stated that this phone would also be more responsive than its predecessors.
We hope that Motorola sticks to its word this time and doesn't keep us waiting for the Droid Bionic.
