Leaks have now become the part and parcel of a smartphone launch. Successful phones like the Motorola Atrix are eagerly anticipated and talked about. So, when some photos of the rumored Atrix successor surfaced online, it became hot news.
Motorola has already announced that its first 4G-enabled phone - the Droid Bionic, would be released in September. According to speculations, the Atrix successor would also be 4G enabled.
The mobile paparazzi have even given it a slew of names - the Motorola Atrix 2, Motorola Atrix HD or even the Motorola Atrix 4G.
The Atrix is currently Motorola's flagship device and is packed with many exciting features such as a 1 GHz CPU, an 8 mega-pixel camera and a 4-inch touchscreen display. It also has a 3.5 mm audio jack and a Micro SD port.
Apparently, the leaked images show that the phone is equipped with an 8 MP HD camera. The screen size seems to be around 4-inch to 4.3 inches. The device has a curved glass display. It should support HDMI output and 1080 full HD video playback.
The Atrix successor would surely be an Android phone. It should either run on the Gingerbread OS or the Ice Cream Sandwich OS, depending upon the date of its release.
According to rumors, this device could either be the Droid HD or the Atrix successor. It could also be both or just a prototype. Until now, Motorola has neither denied nor confirmed any such rumors.
Stay tuned for more on the Motorola Atrix and other phones.
