iOS5 the next version of Apple’s mobile operating system will have face detection feature. It is reported that Apple has tied up with Polar Rose, a Swedish face recognition company, and will use its software in the iOS5.
This software is already been used in the latest Mac OS X Lion for the use of photo booth.
The iOS5 will use it to control various apps like You Tube, facebook, twitter and a lot of other apps like talking tom. 9to5mac.com has also claimed that Apple will open up this face detection feature for all public developers API for iOS5 apps.
Besides, Apple, Android is also planning to come up with the “face recognizer” application. So, it is pretty sure that very soon such kind of features will come up with the new smartphones as well.
Through, face detection feature it becomes very simple to keep record of the persons and applications, which you often use.
There is no update as yet that how much time it will take to come up with the face detection feature, but stay tuned fopr more news on this.
