Nokia C5 Specifications

The Nokia C5 was launched in India after its European launch and based on Symbian S60, its one of the smartphones that caters for non-touchscreen fans.

With a 2.2-inch 320x240 pixel screen, it may not be perfect for browsing complicated web pages, but offers a lot for Rs 7,999.

Measuring 12.3x112x56mm, the C5 will slip into a pocket fairly easily. It's light at 89.3g and although a little plasticky, the design is inoffensive. Nokia does claim the C5 is finished in stainless steel, but in reality, there's little metal involved.

Below the screen, there's a keypad with a nicely set out key configuration. It features a four-way navigation button, with answer call/end and softkeys surrounding it. There are also two further buttons - a home key to takes you to the homescreen and a cancel button that takes you back to the previous action.

Although there's only 50MB internal memory, you can boost the internal storage with a MicroSD card, up to 16GB. A 2GB card is included in the box.

In terms of multimedia, the Nokia C5 offers a 3.2-megapixel camera with autofocus and 3.5mm headphone jack for your music needs. There's a music player included and with Nokia's Music Manager allows you to keep your tunes in check. It works almost like iTunes, although you can't buy music via the software.

As with all Nokia S60 devices, Nokia Messaging comes preinstalled, giving you access to personal and business email accounts. The C5 also supports Nokia Messaging and social networking via a preinstalled Twitter and Facebook app to keep you permanently connected.
