Samsung has released some high-end devices in the Indian market lately. The Galaxy 3 and Galaxy 5 smartphones were recently launched in India. HTC has also introduced couple of its bestsellers such as HTC Legend and HTC Desire for the Indian market.
We compare the Galaxy 3 and the HTC Legend head to head to see just how impressive each one really is and which one of these two devices offers value for money to the users.
The new Galaxy series device, Samsung Galaxy 3 is a smart device running Android 2.1. Whereas, the HTC Legend packs technology and beauty into a sleek and slim aluminum uni-body chassis. Check out the specs comparisons below before purchasing any of these devices.
Screen
The Galaxy 3 sports a 3.2 inch LCD screen which is capacitive. The screen resolution is WQVGA 240x400 pixels. It's not that great and it makes the font and icons look quite pixelized. However, the display is brilliant at the maximum brightness and exposure to the sunlight.
The HTC Legend's screen also measures 3.2-inches, and it lacks the wow factor in the resolution department. But with that being said, it's still quite a ample finger playground, and capitalized on its 320x480 AMOLED screen via HTC's expertly engineered virtual keyboard. The keys are large and offer great corrective typing features, so much so that it is almost like your phone knows what you want to say before you type it.
Winner: HTC Legend
Camera
Samsung Galaxy 3 (I5801) features a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus and digital zoom presetted shot capabilities. The camera packs the megapixels but the image resolution is not up to the mark. Also, it doesn't have LED flash.
The Legend packs an admirable 5.0 megapixel camera that offers competent images and passable videos. The camera comes equipped with an LED flash that has been more or less effective when we've needed them to be.
Winner: HTC Legend

Winner: HTC Legend
