We compare the recently announced HTC Incredible S with one of the most successful Samsung devices - the Samsung Galaxy S. Although, both the devices are touchscreen candybar phones, there are significant differences in the specs of these devices.
The Galaxy S is based on Android 2.1 but the Incredible S can be upgraded to the latest Android 2.2 operating system. There is hardly any significant difference in the weight of these handsets as the Incredible S weighs 130g and the Galaxy S is 119g.
Both these device feature 4 inch touchscreen with 480x800 resolutions and each one offers additional memory up to 32GB via the microSD card. For connectivity, 3G, GPRS, Bluetooth, USB, EDGE is available on these Android phones. But the Incredible S has an added feature of Wi-Fi for the users.
The smartphones pack dual cameras. For Incredible S, there's a much powerful 8-megapixels camera, while the Galaxy S is equipped with a capable 5-megapixels camera. However, the Incredible S boasts of flash power, which is missing on the Galaxy S.
The other common features are the presence of radio, speaker, internet, HTML browser, music player and ringtones on both these smartphones. Also, both the devices offers somewhat similar battery power for the users.
