Samsung shifts 120,000 Galaxy S II in 72 hours
Samsung has sold over 120,000 Galaxy S ll smartphones in just three days in South Korea
One of the leading global mobile phone brands, Samsung has recently sold 1,20,000 units of its latest Android phone in South Korea. The newly launched Samsung galaxy S ll has by now performed well as per company's expectations.
The latest shipping numbers for this new device are showing that the top three telecom operators of Korea has already sold around 1,20,000 Samsung Galaxy S ll within just three days of its launch in this country.
The well known Korean operators SK Telecom shipped 65,000, KT 45,000 and LG U Plus sold 15,000 Galaxy S ll. However, if we compare it with the earlier released version Samsung Galaxy S, then we find it was sold over 50,000 units in the first three days. May be the reason behind it was that the device was launched by only one telecom operator SK Telecom.
Whereas, this time the new Samsung Galaxy S ll smartphone has been introduced with three different operators that has provided an ample choice to the users. According to company, the pre-orders for the new Galaxy S II Android phone stood at 270,000 units as of April.
Shin Jong-kyun, president of the Samsung mobile division told to the reporters recently that around 140 mobile carriers from 120 countries are scheduled to release the latest Samsung device by this week. The company is expecting around 10 million Galaxy S ll smartphone sales in the coming months.
Samsung Galaxy S ll is one of the world’s slimmest handsets, which comes with superb features and high-end specifications. It flaunts a 4.27-inches Super AMOLED Plus display and it runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Powered by a Dual core processor and includes Touchwiz 4.0, which makes it more intersting.
Besides, it includes an 8-megapixels camera with 1080p video capture that is capable to click crystal clear images, while other 2-megapixels front camera is also present in this gadget.
The smartphone also offers Wi-Fi for wireless internet, 1 Gbyte RAM, 32GB MicroSD, 3.5mm headphone jack to the users.
With such an awesome start, we just hope its sales will soar in the same way in the rest 119 countries as well, where the Galaxy S ll shas not yet been launched.
