Motorola launches Android Gingerbread powered smartphone Defy Plus

Motorola unveiled Defy Plus, one of its highly anticipated Android Gingerbread powered smartphone recently. Packed with a 1700 mAh battery life, 5-megapixel camera and a 1 GHz processor, Defy+ handset comes as an update to the original Motorola Defy, a more polished version of the original phone- Motorola Defy.

“Motorola DEFY+, our latest life proof smartphone, delivers the endurance and design strength to keep up with even the most demanding lifestyles, along with the social and entertainment capabilities that put friends and fun in easy reach,” says Claudia Läpke, the marketing director at Motorola Mobility.

The Defy+ news comes immediately after Google’s takeover of Motorola Mobility Inc.

While the earlier version was marketed on its life-proof capability, durability and resilience, the Defy+ is certified to be water, dust, scratch and drop resistant. In addition to that, it is equipped a 3.7-inch high-resolution glorilla glass touch screen along with 2 GB internal and 32 GB expandable memories.

Equipped with numerous apps such as Google Maps, Google Talk etc., it also comes pre-loaded with Zinio – eMagazine and Adobe Flash Player 10. The phone provides enhanced social network connectivity with MOTOBLUR and Motorola Media Link to make syncing hassle free.

Recently, Motorola launched many new phones. These include three dual SIM phones – the EX212, the EX119 and the EX109. The EX 212 is a slim metallic phone equipped with features such as dual screens and FM radio. The EX119 offers both QWERTY and touch pad compatibility. The EX109 offers features such as a QWERTY keyboard, MPEG4 and social networking.

Its India the release date and price of the Defy Plus are yet to be finalized.
