Samsung Galaxy SL gets a Android 2.3.6 update via Samsung Kies app

Samsung Galaxy SL is finally ready to receive Gingerbread update. This update which is available via Samsung Kies app comes after long push by users.

To download the upgrade, you need to check whether you have the latest version of Samsung Kies app. If not then first you need to install the new version of Kies app and uninstall old one from your machine. After this you can simply install the update.

The new update of Gingerbread will give your machine refined copy/paste functionality, improved power management and speedy enhancements. The major feature of this update is fixation of voice search bug that was introduced in Gingerbread’s previous version.

Although people who have installed 2.3.6 Gingerbread update have come across some complaints regarding Wi-Fi and video chat applications. However, over all the devices sees an improvement with previous bugs been fixed. The Samsung Galaxy SL was launched early this year, with Android 2.2, (Froyo) and an upgrade to Gingerbread. Hopefully we will see a Ice Cream Sandwich update to Galaxy SL in the near future.
