iPad 3 details leaked in photos of Apple’s debugging software
A leaked screenshot of Apple’s debug software confirms quad-core A6 and LTE for the iPad 3
Pictures that claim to be the screenshots of Apple’s iBoot development and debugging software for the bootrom have surfaced online.
Data on these images have confirmed that the next gen iPad 3 will sport a quad-core A6 processor and LTE connectivity.
BGR got hold of the leaked pictures from a source and found that the model numbers on the images are J1 and J2 (iPad 3,1 and iPad 3,2), depicting two versions of the next gen iPad.
According to the experts on the site, one version of the iPad 3 will sport Wi-Fi connectivity while the other will offer a range of connectivity options including W-Fi, GSM, CDMA and LTE.
The snapshots also confirm that the iPad 3 will come with an A6 processor with the model number S5L8945X. This much awaited quad-core processor promises to make Apple’s next iPad the fastest device in the tech giant’s kitty.
As is usual with all unreleased Apple products, not too many details are known about the iPad 3 and known specs are based on rumours. Since these latest snapshots with the specs of the new device are also unofficial, it is hard to completely guarantee their accuracy.
If what the debugging software pictures depicts is indeed true, Apple is in for a very profitable year for Apple loyalists and skeptics alike can’t wait to get their hands on the powerful, sophisticated iPad 3!
