Micromax to launch 7-inch Android Ice Cream Sandwich tablet in March?

The popular domestic manufacturer, Micromax is expected to unveil its first 7-inch, dual core, Android 4.0 tablet next month

Micromax is rumored to be prepping its first 7-inch Android Ice Cream Sandwich powered tablet for release next month.

Priced between Rs 10,000 to 15,000, the dual core core tablet may be unveiled as early as the first week or second week of March.

The 'made in India' Android tablet will sport a capacitive screen possibly with a 800 x 480 pixel resolution and a 1 GHz processor. The device also houses a micro SD card slot for expansion and a miniUSB port for connectivity. There is no information on the primary camera, though from the rendering we can see that a secondary camera is absent. 

The tablet is also expected to feature 3D capability, a separate DC-5V charger and outputting 2160P resolution quad-HD output, according to Karan Bajaj.

On the domestic front, Micromax has competition from iBerry India who is also scheduled to release its 7-inch Android 4.0 powered tablet for Rs 10,000 in India next month.

Dubbed iBerry Auxus AX02, the Android tablet currently dominates the title of the cheapest Android 4.0 tablet.
