HTC announces Android Ice Cream Sandwich update for sixteen devices
HTC confirms the names of sixteen devices scheduled to receive the Android 4.0 update next
HTC has confirmed the names of sixteen devices expected to receive the tasty Android Ice Cream Sandwich update.
According to the HTC Blog, the following devices are the lucky candidates in line for the most talked about update:
HTC Rhyme
HTC Sensation XE
HTC Sensation
HTC Sensation XL
HTC Desire S
HTC EVO 3D
DROID Incredible 2 by HTC
HTC Amaze 4G
HTC Desire HD
HTC EVO Design 4G
HTC Incredible S
HTC Sensation 4G
HTC Raider
HTC Rezound
HTC Thunderbolt
HTC Vivid
According to the blog, HTC Sensation 4G and HTC Sensation XL will be next in line to receive the delicious Android 4.0 update, among the ones listed.
The Taiwanese company also informed that the Android 4.0 update for HTC Sensation and Sensation XE will be available to a wider audience by March end.
It said that the roll-out was in its 'early stages' but will be available for users across wider markets in the next couple of weeks.
Once the updates are rolled out, it may take time for users to receive the upgrade depending on their carriers and country. HTC update will be available via OTA and smartphone users will be notified about the download when it is available in their country.
As of now there is no exact time frame for the update, but going by their current roll-out pace, it might just be a matter of time.
