Micromax's 7-inch, Android 4.0 tablet has been priced under 10K, making it the cheapest Android 4.0 tablet in India

Micromax's first 7-inch Android Ice Cream Sandwich powered tablet was spotted at Homeshop18 retailing for Rs 7,999.

Confirming some of the earlier rumored specs like Android 4.0 OS and 7-inch display, the shopping portal however debunks the earlier dual-core processor rumors.

Speaking to Know Your Mobile India, a Micromax representative also confirmed the absence of dual-core processor in the tablet and confirmed that the tablet will be priced under 10k.

Dubbed Micromax P-300, the 'made in India' Android tablet features a capacitive multi-touch TFT - LCD display and a 0.3-megapixel camera. The absence of a secondary camera means no voice calling options for the users.

Apart from the Android 4.0, the other two key highlights of the device is its HD Video encoder: 1080 P and compatibility with USB Dongle.

The device houses a internal memory of 4GB which can be extended to 32GB. It supports a standard lithium-polymer battery, assuring 4 hours of web browsing time. There is also Adobe Flash Player: 10.3 and documents support along with WiFi, 3G connectivity options.

On the domestic front, Micromax has competition from iBerry India which is scheduled to release its 7-inch Android 4.0 powered tablet iBerry Auxus for Rs 10,000 in India this month. It may drop its price now, with Micromax all set to bring itsĀ  under 10k Android 4.0 tablet.
