Intex launches its Android powered i-Tab tablet for Rs 11,900

Intex has unveiled its first Android powered tablet, i-Tab for Indian consumers.

Priced at Rs 11,900, the tablet is powered by a 1GHz cortex A8 core processor and Android Gingerbread OS.

With a 8-inch capacitive touch screen display, 512MB DDR3 RAM and 8GB memory expandable to 32GB, the i-Tab makes for quite an attractive package deal.

In addition, the gadget is booted by a 5000mAh battery, which holds a capacity to back it up for 5-6 hours.

While the tablet comes pre-loaded with a string of handy Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint viewer, it houses a few gaming apps too, to keep you entertained.

It also keeps you well connected through Wi-Fi support, Bluetooth and 3G via dongle.

Additional features like a USB port, front camera, 3.5mm audio jack, inbuilt microphone, and Google-supported GPS software, all together make it a great buy.

Despite being a powerhouse of features, the gadget weighs a mere 475g, making it a great travel companion.

Although the package priced at Rs 11,900 was already enticing enough, Intex decided to spice things up a bit more with its introductory offer, which bundles up i-Tab with an Intex 3G data card, a LAN adapter, a leather cover and a pair of Reebok glasses!

The i-Tab will be available at distributors, reseller outlets, company retails stores and numerous hypermarkets across India.

Along with the launch of its first tablet, Intex also voiced intentions of ‘expanding its tablet portfolio’ in the future with its 7-inch and 10-inch models.
