Apple iPhone 5 could feature a revamped body with a 4-inch display
The rumor arises from Topeka Capital Markets analyst Brian White
The next iteration of the iPhone has been rumored to feature a larger 4-inch display along with a new body design.
The Apple iPhone 5 is expected to be announced in October this year, and according to an analyst from Topeka Capital Markets, Brian White, Apple could look to make some changes for the new flagship. He however mentioned that this new iDevice could hit stores starting from August-September contrary to the October launch date which we've heard about so far.
According to him, the new iPhone will feature a sleek new design and a larger display for the first time in an iPhone. It must be noted that Mr. White is an analyst and not an Apple insider, so we can't really know for sure if any of this will see the light of the day.
In Mr. White's words - "In our view, this will be the most significant iPhone upgrade with a four-inch screen and a new, sleek look that we believe will require a Unibody case,".
He further added - "This new, sleek look will be the most important reason that consumers decide to upgrade to the iPhone 5, while we believe the addition of 4G will also attract buyers of the new device. We believe the iPhone 5 ramp for the December quarter could be extraordinary, dwarfing previous launches and driving the stock closer to our $1,001 price target."
