The rumor comes a day after the announcement date of the smartphone was made public by Samsung

Some details of the yet to be announced Samsung Galaxy S III have emerged online.

Announcement details of the new Galaxy S III were given out by Samsung yesterday. But nothing was mentioned about the smartphone itself or its global launch. However, there is a fair bit of info coming from numerous sources about a potential launch strategy from Samsung.

The company is believed to take the promotion of the phone to the upcoming London Olympics which is a highly anticipated event, so that's a start. We believe Samsung could generate a lot of hype and interest with the help of the London Olympics.

The handset is said to be manufactured in 16 and 32GB storage capacities and in two different color combinations (Black and White). We could also see a microSD card slot on the smartphone.

It is also being rumored that the smartphone will feature a Full HD 1080p display, contrary to previous reports of a 720p HD display with an RGB matrix. You might want to take that last one with a pinch of salt.

All eyes will be set on May 3 when Samsung is holding the Galaxy S III launch event in London. The event will be simulcast on Samsung's official Facebook page as well.
