Android Ice Cream Sandwich powered Samsung Galaxy SIII maybe officially unveiled in India on June 10 for Rs 38,000

Samsung Galaxy S III will be officially available from June 10 in India.

The news which comes via Android community definitely puts a big smile on Samsung loyalists who have been enquiring about the potential release of the device on the Indian shores.

Expected to be priced between Rs 38,000 – Rs 41,000, the Android 4.0 powered device will join two other popular Android flagship smartphones - HTC One X and Xperia S.

The Galaxy S III will hit European markets first, followed by Asia, Africa and the Middle East. The first wave of roll-out begins on May 29.

At the launch of its flagship device, Samsung wooed its audience with the intelligent, good looking device which has been 'designed for humans' and 'inspired by nature.

Available in two variants - marble white and pebble blue, the ergonomically designed handset, sits perfectly within the palm of your hands, while the choice of colour schemes, wall papers, sound effects further promise to enhance the user experience.

Squeezed within its slim and sexy built (136.6 x 70.6 x 8.55 mm) is a gorgeous 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels (306ppi), 8-megapixel primary camera with a 1.9-megapixel secondary camera and 1GB of RAM.

The device also comes pre-loaded with an extremely responsive UI that follows instructions precisely and includes apps like ‘Smart Stay’, ‘S Voice’, ‘Smart Alert’, ‘Social Tag’, ‘Direct Call’ and ‘Pop Up Play’.

Samsung Electronics President and Head of IT & Mobile Communications Division J K Shin pointed out during the launch of Galaxy SIII that the device will make for the 'most seamless, natural and human-centric mobile experiences, opening up a new horizon that allows you to live a life extraordinary.'
