The Android 4.0 powered Sony Xperia GX aka Sony LT29i Hayabusa has been officially launched.

After a series of blurry images and leaked specs, Sony's highly anticipated device has been revealed in full glory.

Available in the Japanese market for now, the Sony Xperia GX is expected to be launched in India in July for Rs 31,845.

With a series of super-smartphones making an entry in the market this year, we think Sony's latest offering, the Xperia GX might just have what it needs to stand out of the pile.

This lean mean machine comes packed with solid ammunition to take on the best of Android smartphones floating in the market.

The defining feature of the smartphone is definitely its camera. Sony has been known for its camera prowess and with the Xperia GX it fuses its knowledge with the popular Android platform, bringing in a smartphone that appeals to both Android and photography lovers.

The device no surprise blows with its giant 13-megapixel camera with Sony Exmor R. Promising a ultra real viewing experience, this Android beauty comes installed with Sony technology to take 3D panoramic images and also brings HD video recording capabilities on board.

Having tasted success with the Xperia arc design, it comes as little surprise that Sony decided to build Xperia GX on the same platform. And we are not complaining. The streamlined body with a matte texture, makes the device both appealing and ergonomic.

The device boasts of a superior viewing experience with its 4.6-inch HD resolution screen. Powered by Mobile BRAVIA Engine the device enables you to record high quality pictures and HD videos even in low light conditions.

Available in white and black color variants, the device is fueled by a powerful 1.5GHz dual-core processor while the storage needs are taken care of by a 16GB internal flash.

Sony also brings premium entertainment experience to Xperia GX via three new media applications. This includes the 'Walkman' a application that integrates audio technologies such as clear stereo, clear bass, manual equalizer among others with new innovative ways to play, discover and recommend music.

The other new application is 'Album' which makes sorting and browsing photos much more intuitive and fast. Viewing, sharing and commenting on photos has never been this easy.

Lastly for all the movie buffs, there is a 'Movies' app which brings a more immersive experience to the users. It not only streamlines the playback and viewing of movies in high quality audio and video, but also makes searching and finding info a whole lot easier.

That's not all. With DLNA, and HDMI, you can even bring the full  HD experience of your Xperia GX  to your TV screens too.

Can we ask for more?
