Spotted: HTC Golf doing the rounds in the wild
HTC’s new handset might be named Desire C, say sources
HTC Golf has been in and out of the tech world’s sights. After a leaked image of the device and that of a photo clicked by its camera, the Golf has been caught ‘in the wild’. Though a few of its basic specs are only rumoured, not confirmed, HTC enthusiasts are hoping that the phone will match up to the high standards the company has set for itself with its previous launches.
Pocketnow got its hands on the snapshot of the HTC Golf from ItProPortal. The phone is a mid-range device. Powered by an under 1 GHz processor, it is believed to run on Android’s Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. Of course, it will most likely ship with HTC’s Sense 4.0 as well. The handset will probably feature a 3.5-inch display with a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels. Along with a RAM of 512 MB, sources say the HTC Golf will offer an internal storage of 4 GB.
Rumours about the device’s final name had earlier suggested that it will be called HTC Wildfire C but the source of this most recent photograph revealed to Pocketnow that it will most likely be called HTC Desire C. The leaked picture depicts the phone as having the same design pattern as HTC’s One series. Considering the success of the series, that is most likely a good thing.
HTC has seen a lot of success in the smartphone arena in recent times, its Sense UI gaining ground at record speed. Though some of its latest devices have been high-end, with the HTC Golf / HTC Wildfire C / HTC Desire C, it might win big in the mid-range market as well.
