Latest HTC V One update bumps software version to 1.56.401.2

According to the new benchmark results the latest update enhances the performance of the Android 4.0 powered HTC One V

A new update for the Android Ice Cream Sandwich powered HTC One V has been rolled out.

Noticed by the htcinside.de folks, the the new upgrade bumps the software version from 1.56.401.1 to 1.56.401.2.

Using quadrant benchmarks before and after the update on HTC One V, we can see that the update definitely enhances the performance of the device.

On the software version 1.56.401.1, theĀ  HTC One V on Quadrant One benchmark scored only 1929 points. However after the upgrade it shot up by 192 points, to 2121.

If you are a HTC One V user, you can upgrade your device by clicking on the 'Settings' under Phone info ->Software Updates->Check now.

We are not sure at this point what are the other enhancements the update brings to the device, so if you own a HTC One V do let us know.

The Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich powered device features a 3.7-inch super LCD 2 touchscreen and a powerful 1 GHz Processor Snapdragon CPU.

Priced at Rs 17435, the device houses a 4GB of internal storage with 25GB of storage on DropBox, Wi-Fi and a 1,500 mAh battery.
