Priced at Rs 9,999, Micromax is set to revolutionize the phablet market with the introduction of its budget 5-inch A100 smartphone powered by Android 4.0 ICS

The domestic manufacturer Micromax stands to revolutionize the smartphone hybrid market with its latest offering. Dubbed Micromax A100, the 3G Android full touch smartphone brings the features and functionalities of a smartphone and tablet to the Indian consumers at a budget price tag of Rs 9,999.

A budget knock off to the popular Galaxy Note, the Micromax A100 price tag belies its price tag. The dual SIM and dual standby capable device comes equipped with a massive 5-inch screen with a resolution of 480x854 pixels and a Android 4.0.4 ICS out of the box which definitely sweetens the deal for budget consumers vying for a hybrid experience.

Measuring 142.2 x 72.6 x 11.9, the lightweight device at 168gm houses a 5-megapixel camera with video recording, FM radio and host of connectivity options via Bluetooth, Wifi, GPRS and EDGE. Keeping the social networking need in mind, the hybrid Android beast packs in all the popular social networking options like Twitter, Facebook, Nimbuzz and more.

On the storage front, according to the homeshop18 site where the product was spotted, the device will feature a internal memory of 4 GB  which can be further expanded to 32 GB using a MicroSD card slot.
