Know Your Mobile India has been tipped that LG's 2012 flagship device Optimus G will be launched in Mumbai on February 27

LG's much awaited and long delayed, 2012 flagship device Optimus G will set foot in India on February 27. The launch will be held in the financial capital, Mumbai.

Dubbed as a 'groundbreaking premium device not only in the history of LG but also in the smartphone industry' by Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company, Optimus G brings in true multi-tasking to the forefront, enabling users to perform complex tasks simultaneously without having to compromise on other tasks.

The packs in a 13-megapixel camera along with a host of handy camera additions like smart shutter senses, time catch shot, cheese shutter, low light and shot noise reduction.

It also houses some cool functions like the Qslide function that enables you to see two different screens simultaneously on one display, dual screen dual play which allows mirroring between the smartphone and a TV to name a few.

The company released an official Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for the handsets in South Korea earlier this year, however we can't say for certain if the devices will arrive with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.

While the Optimus G packs in solid ammunition, the delayed launch coupled with the arrival of stalwarts like BlackBerry Z10, Sony Xperia Z, Galaxy S4, HTC M7 may thwart its chances of winning much eyeballs.
