Samsung Galaxy S2 is the successor to last year’s Samsung Galaxy S, the first dual core phone that runs on Android Gingerbread. The Galaxy S2 weighs just 116gms with near perfect proportioned rounded edges. It has 4.3 inch display and at 125.3x 66.1x 8.5mm it is one of the slimmest phones available in the market today.
The over all plastic built, reduces the weight of the device considerably, while its gorilla glass front panel and metallic chrome edging adds to the style quotient.
Galaxy S2 works fabulously with its 4.3" Super AMOLED Plus screen considering that other smartphones have qHD resolution. Most of the available high-end smartphones have qHD 960x540 resolution whereas Samsung opted of 480x800 resolution. This drop in resolution knotted with Super AMOLED screen made Samsung reach the top of the league of smartphones. In fact its screen is better than Apple ‘s renowned Retina Display.
Besides these, S2 comes packed with number of impressive features. To begin with it has a dual core 1.2GHz ARM Cortex- A9processor which makes it faster, 1GB of RAM, 16GB memory that helps find your data comfortable storage.
Samsung has introduced its updated TouchWiz 4.0 User Interface. It has plenty of motion controls, such as tilt to zoom, panning and tilt to silence. The TouchWiz 4.0 also comprises of four hubs namely game, music, readers and social. Each sub hub page comprises of alluring backdrops.
These hubs provide the user with an option to buy music, newspapers, magazines, games or put there content on social networking sites. It comes pre-loaded with Samsung’s Kies Air app. This app is remarkable as it allows the user to browse the contents of the handset on the PC.
Through this app one can easily manage almost everything like photos, messages, bookmarks, call logs, video and music. It also includes useful features like image preview, media player and easy to access category for everything on the phone.
